The program which takes its name from the famous philosopher and scientist Farabi (Abū Nasr Muhammad al-Fārāb) who is known as "Alpharabius" in the West and an exchange program called “Farabi Exchange Program” has been designed. The program is for the exchange of lecturers and students between universities and advanced technical institutions, which provide associate degrees, undergraduate and graduate programs.

The Farabi Exchange Program assists students or lecturers to continue their educational activities in another higher education institution for a year or two.

The Farabi Exchange program provides the students with a non-refundable grant and the lecturers with extra payment.

The rules and regulations, pre-requisites, and procedures for applying in this program have been stated in the documents in detail.

All the students, who are enrolled and studying in any associate, undergraduate and graduate degree in any higher education institution within Turkey, are eligible to apply for this program, which provides formal education to students and lecturers serving in academic positions.
