The Farabi Exchange Program enables exchange of students and academic staff among higher education institutions across Turkey. The program derives its name from Abu Nasr Muhammad al-Fārāb which is a famous philosopher and scientist known as "Alpharabius" in the western world.

Students or academic staff may spend one (minimum) or two (maximum) terms at another higher education institution in Turkey.
