Accomadation

ASBU is located in Ulus, in the historical centre of Ankara. In the neighbourhood, there are numerous dorms, both public and private, where students can stay. The International Office assists incoming students with housing. 

Food& Drink

There are various kinds of meals and price options for students on campus and at the nearby restorants. ASBU has a cafeteria, which offers Table d'hôte meal at noon. The surrounding restorants and cafes also enable students to get to know different tastes of the famous Turkish cousine. 

Sports

Students can join university teams such as football or enjoy outdoor sport events organized by student socities.

Student Societies

Student socities carries out different academic, social and cultural activities including concerts, performances, movie screenings, exhibitions all through the year. International students can participate in these events and get involved in any student society of their own choice.

Student Council

Students are encouraged to have their say at the university administration and the Student Council serves this purpose and represents students at the University Executive Board. The Council is against all types of discrimination based on religion, language, ethnicity, opinion, gender, sexual orientation, age, physical disability, etc.

All students can share their opinions, concerns, and recommendations with the university administration through the Student Council.  

Health

ASBU Health Center provides basic and emergency health services to to students and faculty members. When necessary, patients are referred to specialists or other health institutions. There are many hospitals and pharmacies near the campus.

Health Insurance

ASBU does not automatically provide incoming students with insurance cover. Students must have their own health insurance valid in Turkey. For details on the required coverage, please visit the Visa and Residence Permit page
